Amy Roy, LPC

My specialties include trauma, grief, anxiety, stress management, parenting, depression, divorce, attention deficit disorder, and family related mental health issues. I have trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR,) and Brain Spotting.

In your counseling sessions I aim to truly listen, acknowledge, provide feedback and be supportive as you share your journeys, work through issues, and strategize on the best ways to fulfill your goals. I strive to work with you in a supportive nonjudgemental way offering strategies to strengthen your abilities and reduce uncomfortable emotions.

I am a licensed professional counselor with an undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education from UW- Whitewater. I earned a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling from UW-Oshkosh.

I have over 30 years experience in counseling children, families, and adults. I have taught parenting classes using a variety of programs: The Nurturing Program, Love and Logic and 1, 2, 3 Magic. She has developed and taught Pre-marriage seminars.

I enjoy spending time with my husband, growing family and the outdoors.
