About me
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and I am sorry that you are struggling. I am a clinical psychologist who has experience working with adults with trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, sleep struggles, anger management issues, grief and loss, and self-esteem issues, among others. I offer virtual services throughout New York state.
I will try to tell you enough about me so that you can get a better sense of me and the way that I work. I have 15 years of experience working with issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, life stress/transitions, anger management, sleep issues, and self-esteem issues, among others. Some of the areas I am trained in include Internal Family Systems, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
However, while trainings like the above are important, perhaps more important is the connection you feel with your therapist. A big part of this is collaboration surrounding what you are needing from therapy and what feels like a good fit for you. Are you looking for someone to provide support during a difficult time? Are you looking to learn coping skills to manage areas in which you are struggling in your life? Are you looking to help process through experiences from your past that are impacting the quality of your life? Are you looking to address long-standing patterns in your life that are no longer working for you? Are you looking to better understand yourself? We will come up with a plan together to address these needs and work on what is important to you.
Based on feedback from past clients and what I know to be true about myself, I am a good listener and make it a point to remember the details of your life and what’s important to you. I will provide a safe place in an empathic, warm, trusting, compassionate, non-judgmental, and down to earth way. So often with issues like those noted above, people start living a life that is no longer in line with their values and who they know themselves to be. You are deserving of reconnecting with your true self, which may have gotten lost among your struggles. I hope that I can help you in that process.
I recognize that it is hard to fully get a sense of someone from words on a page. If it could be helpful for you, I would be happy to offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to help you get a better sense of me and discuss whether I might be able to help. Thank you so much for taking the time to read more about me and I look forward to hearing from you if you feel like I could be a good fit for you!
