About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor who believes Clients should have the opportunity to include their own personal faith in this healing journey if they choose. I offer the options of only Clinical, only Faith Based, or a combined approach. The choice belongs to Client alone.
I have been a social worker for nearly 25 years and have worked in Mental Health for 20 of those encouraging Clients to work toward being the best versions of themselves while finding inner healing in the process. I specialize in CBT, Anger Management, treatment for sexual behaviors/disorders, EMDR, and Narrative Therapy as well as other modalities to treat a broad spectrum of issues and disorders. If I am unable to provide the best care for any Client who allows me the honor of walking this journey by their side, I always assist Clients in locating someone who is able to do so, and a Provider the Client is comfortable in affording the same trust. We are all a work in progress as we navigate this life and it brings me so much joy to be a part of that process, including my own.
I have owned and operated Hope Counseling Owensboro since 2012 and have built an atmosphere to encourage positive change with support from not only our team, but many community partners. I believe anyone who is willing to do the work, even if they doubt their own abilities, can make positive changes and/or improvements for them personally. It has always been my desire to "pay it forward" meaning if a client makes decisions to become their best self and work toward that challenge, they will help others do the same along the way. That was and is our hope in the creation of Hope Counseling Owensboro with an amazing team who believes in the same foundation and process while using their core belief of helping others as a focus driven factor.
