About me
I am a seasoned therapist who is dedicated to helping adults navigate grief, loss, trauma, life transitions and eating disorders.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, confused by your emotions, or wondering why you just can't "move on," you're not alone. Many people reach out to me because they feel exhausted from holding it all together while quietly questioning why things feel so hard. What I want you to know is that nothing is wrong with you. I view many of life's challenges through the lens of grief and loss. Grief isn't only about death. It comes from divorce, illness, infertility, adoption, trauma, or loss of the life you thought you would have. When theses experiences aren't recognized for what they are, we often feel misunderstood or ashamed.
Working with me feels like talking to someone who truly gets it. I move at your pace and focus on helping you feel safe enough to share your story, even if you don't have words yet. Clients often tell me that they feel comfortable with me quickly, like they can finally exhale. Therapy with me leaves room for honesty, emotion, and even humor when it fits.
I became a therapist over 25 years ago, because therapy changed my own life, and I know how powerful it is to finally feel seen and understood. I bring both professional training, years of experience as a therapist, and lived experience to this work. I am the mother of 3, an adoptee, and someone who has navigated profound loss and major life transitions. These experiences shape how I will show up for you!
I am licensed in both Tennessee and Illinois. I see clients in person in Nashville Tennessee and online for anyone in Tennessee or Illinois.
