About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing counseling to adolescents through older adults in the Indianapolis area. I support clients as they navigate stages of life and issues around grief and loss, depression, anxiety and panic attacks, trauma, chronic illness, caregiving, and those on the journey of adoption and foster care. I also find it a privilege to provide clinical supervision for Licensed Social Workers on their journey to become an LCSW.

Have negative self-talk, grief, anxiety, and depression become a struggle? Are personal and social factors affecting health and wellness? Whether it is caring for a loved one, a life change, grief and loss, facing mental health symptoms, trauma, or an unexpected circumstance you would never choose, you are not alone. I am here to support and promote resilience, growth, and an improved sense of self. Entering the office, you will find a safe space to courageously unpack your story, and freely explore thoughts, emotions, and challenges to gain clarity and reach goals. I approach each client with empathy, respect, and genuine commitment.

The compassionate services you receive from Pathways Counseling are rooted in a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. After over 30 years in the social work field, I entered private practice to tailor therapy to fit your unique and specific needs and help you gain the most out of counseling. My experience includes working closely with families, children & adolescents, adults, and older adults. I have worked in medical social work, including psychiatric inpatient setting; provided support and counsel to Veterans; foster and adoptive families; family members taking on parenting roles for other family members; and am providing support for a variety of caregivers. I have personal experience in having been a primary caregiver for members of my family.

Mental health challenges can manifest differently at different life stages. My goal is to empower individuals to navigate those challenges and transitions, promoting mental well-being at every age. Evidence-based interventions suitable for a diverse mental health concerns are utilized, and are practiced from a client-centered, strengths-based approach. When appropriate, I use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for trauma and other mental health needs. EMDR is a great way to work through pain and heal trauma more quickly.

I encourage you to start your journey to find hope, healing, and clarity. You have already taken a courageous step by seeking a relational, collaborative therapist who will support you. Are you ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery? Are you ready to identify skills and tools that empower you to navigate life? I invite you to reach out.
