About me

Hi, I’m Amie (she/her), a feminist therapist dedicated to helping individuals break free from societal expectations, embrace their full selves, and live in alignment with their values.

I offer an affirming, trauma-informed, and radically compassionate space for healing and growth. My approach centers on the intersections of identity, power, and systemic oppression, drawing on my commitment to social justice, decolonization, and anti-oppressive care. I believe in the transformative power of community, self-empowerment, and collective liberation, and I’m passionate about supporting clients as they navigate personal and political struggles with authenticity and courage.

My work is grounded in a commitment to social justice and collective liberation, recognizing that healing is both personal and political. I integrate anti-oppression, anti-racism, and decolonial practices by acknowledging the impact of systemic inequities on mental health and centering clients’ lived experiences within these contexts. I actively work to deconstruct traditional hierarchies in the therapeutic relationship by fostering collaboration, transparency, and mutual respect.

In my practice, I draw on feminist and decolonial frameworks that prioritize agency, self-determination, and the exploration of internalized systems of oppression. I also examine how white supremacy, patriarchy, and colonialism shape experiences of burnout, self-worth, and identity, helping clients reconnect with their inherent value and the wisdom of their own bodies and communities. I commit to ongoing learning, humility, and accountability as a practitioner by continually engaging in anti-racist education, reflecting on my own privileges, and listening to the voices of historically marginalized groups.

I believe healing is an act of resistance and empowerment, and my role is to help clients cultivate resilience, challenge oppressive narratives, and reclaim joy, rest, and authentic connection.
