About me
My name is Amie Diminico I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor(LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts. I earned my Bachelors Degree at Northeastern University, In Boston, Massachusetts in Counseling Psychology. Then went on to earn my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University as well.
Both my husband and I work so navigating work and family life is always a task I can truly relate to. I have been married for 13 years and we have 6 children all together. Both my oldest son and step-son graduated high school in 2020 and trust me the struggle was real with all the challenges they faced due to the pandemic. My daughter is finishing up her last year in a college out of state and my step-daughter is working and navigating the transition into adulthood complete with all the stressors that comes with the territory. My oldest step-son is slowly adjusting to his first few years out in the workforce. Our youngest daughter is in her first year in middle school and although she is 10 sometimes we have to remind her that she is not a teenager.
The majority of my work has been in a community mental health setting in the state of Massachusetts where I lead individual, family, couples, and group therapy. I devised multidisciplinary teams with the purpose of presenting cases for proper treatment with a global approach. I also acted as a liaison to help clients find meaningful employment in the community. I have worked with families and individuals who have experienced anxiety, depression, abuse/neglect, parenting issues, addiction, and adjustment disorders. Through my ten plus years of experience in the field of clinical psychology I have acquired strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to evaluate the needs of a wide range of people identify areas of need and then help to plan and carry out measurable goals to attain maximum achievement and adjustment.
I hope to motivate you in ascertaining your inner strengths and abilities. I aim to provide you with open thoughtful responses and to help create a safe, judgment free, confidential space for you to be able to share and trust your own opinions, while fostering confidence in order for you to realize your true potential.
I look forward to talking with you soon!
