About me

Amani Pereira is a Licensed Master Social Worker and graduate of Boise State University, where she earned her Master of Social Work. She specializes in working with adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, stress, substance use, and the complex challenges of childhood and adolescence.
With experience in a variety of mental health settings—including inpatient hospitals, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and schools Amani Pereira currently serves as a crisis counselor for a school district. Her work is rooted in the belief that therapy is not just about healing, but about empowering individuals to tap into their own strengths. She creates a therapeutic space that is supportive, affirming, and growth-oriented, helping clients uncover tools within themselves to thrive.

Welcome — I'm so glad you're here. I believe that you deserve to feel seen, supported, and understood—especially when life feels heavy. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, or simply trying to make sense of your world, I’m here to walk beside you with compassion, encouragement, and care. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults who are facing stress, emotional pain, life transitions, or mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I specialize in working with adolescents using a trauma-informed approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients tap into their strengths and build lasting tools for emotional wellness. I earned my Master of Social Work from Boise State University and have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitals, PHP programs, and currently as a crisis counselor in a public school district.
Beyond individual therapy, I’m passionate about mental health advocacy and have led community initiatives such as mental health training, wellness newsletters, and school-based resource projects.
If you’re looking for a therapist who will create a safe space for healing and growth, contact me today to schedule a free 15 minute virtual consultation.
