I am Amanda and I have been fully licensed as a LPC since October 2022. My passion is helping those who have experienced traumatic events work through the struggles that they're facing. I want you to know that it's okay to ask for help and that you're not alone in this journey. I bring in my background of having a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Art) to help provide other avenues for working through life's struggles. Some individuals like to sit and talk, others prefer to utilize art or play to help them cope. I'm all about you and what you need. I have worked for several years in the mental health counseling field, predominantly with children and families, but also individual adults. I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and am currently working on gaining my certification in this type of therapy, which has been backed by research as being effective in the treatment of trauma.
