About me
I am a queer and trans-affirming psychotherapist who does individual and relationship therapy. Many of my clients for both have been sex workers, adoptees, autistic, polyamorous, kinky, or canceled. I am currently growing a specialization in structural dissociation and always take time to seek out relevant training when I start working with a new client.
Sometimes there are parts of ourselves, our desires, or our pasts that are difficult to share with others. This could be because of a lack of acceptance or support in your social world, and could be related to feelings of fear, shame, or disgust. I work with clients to build a relationship in which it is safe enough for clients to bring disowned parts of themselves into compassionate awareness as they develop a sense of wholeness. Throughout this deep internal work, I ask curious questions about environmental factors in order to support liberation from internalized oppression and self-blame.
I use a compassionate, playful, and collaborative approach to connect mind, body, and emotion in the context of your environment and history. A lot of my work centers around trauma, gender identity, sexuality, kink, and polyamory. I work with individuals, couples, polycules, and families.
If you would like to begin or continue your journey of healing and self discovery, and join a movement toward collective liberation, please reach out. For a taste of how I guide clients through exploratory processes, read this career counseling article I wrote for sex workers several years ago. https://affirmativecouch.com/is-sex-work-right-for-me/.
