About me
At Kensho Psychotherapy, we help ambitious women, families, and professionals who are always “on”—but quietly overwhelmed. You’ve learned how to keep it together, succeed under pressure, and show up for everyone else… but inside, anxiety, past trauma, or stress won’t let you rest.
We specialize in therapy for women, children, and men in New York. We love working with communities of color, including black women, clients of Caribbean background, Latina, etc, navigating high expectations, life transitions, anxiety, anger, depression, and trauma. Our licensed therapists provide culturally competent care, utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
I’m a Caribbean-born therapist, mom, runner, and woman of faith—and I bring all of me to the therapy room. I created Kensho Psychotherapy to serve professionals and clients of color who are doing everything right on paper… but still feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted inside.
We specialize in working with high-achieving Black women, ambitious young adults, and professionals who are used to holding it all together—but are quietly dealing with anxiety, stress, burnout, and the pressure always to show up strong. Our practice is primarily with women of color or immigrant backgrounds, and we understand experiences with identity, intergenerational trauma, and related stressors.
At our NYC-based, trauma-informed practice, we create a space where you don’t have to shrink, explain yourself, or perform. You just get to be—messy, brilliant, questioning, healing.
We believe therapy should feel culturally affirming, emotionally safe, and actually useful. Whether you’re navigating a big life change, grieving, or just tired of doing it all without support, we’re here to walk with you.
