About me
Hi, I'm Alyssa! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I'm passionate about helping individuals and couples develop better relationships and adjust to life's changes.
Through indidivual therapy, couples therapy, and premarital counseling, I help people heal from painful relationship experiences, build stronger relationships, and navigate transitions by combining insight with practical tools. Many of my clients come to therapy during times of change- dating, career shifts, engagements, moving, marriage, and growing their families. Some want to address recurring problems or build a stronger foundation before problems arise. Together, we'll work toward improving confidence and connection with yourself and others. I believe growth happens when we can make sense of our experiences, compassionately explore our patterns, and move forward with intention.
My approach is warm and non-judgemental. While we’ll probably have heavy moments, I believe therapy can be fun and light at times, too. I’m active in sessions and truly love the therapeutic relationships I get to build with clients! The most important part of therapy is your relationship with your therapist, so it's vital to find someone you connect well with. I want my clients to feel safe showing up authentically, and I believe that starts with me doing the same. My hope is that you'll leave each session feeling a little more understood, a little more hopeful, and a little more equipped to handle whatever life brings.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating and vulnerable, and the fact that you're here suggests there's something in your life that matters enough to protect or work toward. Whatever brings you here, I’d be honored to support you in taking that next step. If you think we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation!
