About me
Ally (she/her) earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from John Carroll University and her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Heidelberg University.
Ally has experience working with a variety of different populations and specializes in working with teens (12+) and adults struggling with mood and personality disorders, anxiety disorders, difficult life adjustments, self-injurious behaviors, and suicide.
From a theoretical standpoint, Ally enjoys integrating a variety of treatment approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Existentialism to best meet the unique needs of each client. Ally is certified in DBT and is a part of our DBT team as well.
Ally is passionate about providing an environment of warmth, safety, and acceptance to foster personal growth and instill hope in each of her clients. Ally's approach to counseling is one of support, genuineness, encouragement, humor, and exploration. Outside of the clinical setting, Ally is an avid hiker and enjoys all things Halloween-related.
