About me
I work with individuals 11 and up, couples, and families. I help people work through trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, big life changes, and strained family relationships, using practical tools along with gentle parts work.
Clients dealing with life stage changes, loss of hope or motivation, and chronic anxiety have reported to me that they felt helped by our sessions previously. At the core of my approach is the belief that every person is inherently valuable and capable of growth. People are not defined by what has happened to them, nor are they defined by the choices they have made in the past. My goal is to help clients understand themselves more deeply, build resilience, develop healthier patterns, and move toward the lives they want to create. I assist clients in managing chronic emotional symptoms and reframing distress responses.
I utilize CBT and DBT interventions as well as narrative or schema questions. I work collaboratively with clients to address cognitive distortions and maladaptive schemas. Together, we work toward developing healthier schemas and establishing meaningful goals. My approach emphasizes curiosity, introspection, and accountability.
I pursued my degrees later in life, bringing with me a wealth of real-world experience that informs my approach to social work. I am a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW126261) with the BBS (CA). I am supervised by Alana Kivowitz, LCSW (86427). I bring an empathetic and real-world understanding of complex trauma and life stage changes.
