About me
My hope as a therapist is to support you in processing grief and loss in its many forms—whether that be losing a loved one, an unexpectedly difficult pregnancy journey, receiving a difficult diagnosis, or facing any other unexpected life shifts. In addition to my focus on grief and loss, I work with clients experiencing difficulties related to anxiety, depression, trauma, cultural identity, migration, family/interpersonal conflict and the complexities that come when these challenges and others intersect.
My approach to therapy is integrative, psychodynamic, and relationally focused. Together, we will collaborate in the work of understanding who you are as a result of your loss. We will explore how your history and systemic factors may be shaping your coping strategies and sense of self today.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and received my undergraduate degrees in both
Social Work and International studies prior to completing my master’s in social work with a
focus on migration, from Loyola University Chicago. Professionally, I had the opportunity to
work in various settings including higher education, community mental health, perinatal care and
human rights organizations. This range of experiences gave me a strong foundation in both
clinical and policy spheres, which I integrated in the development of my therapy approach.
My interest in culture and language stems from my own immigration journey from France to
Chicago as a child. As therapist, I am passionate in understanding how our own individual and
family histories shape our internal world, and how this world reacts and responds to grief.
My approach to therapy is integrative, using different approaches depending on our needs in the
therapy space. Some of the approaches I bring in are:
Psychodynamic- examining past relationships and dynamics to further understand how our past might
manifest today in what you are experiencing.
Internal Family Systems-understanding different parts of ourselves and how they might relate.
Relational- the role relationships play on our lives, including reflecting on the client-therapist
relationship.
Some of my other interests include baking, walking, puzzles, and competition.
