About me
I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals and couples heal from trauma, manage anxiety, and navigate life transitions with clarity, resilience, and lasting emotional growth.
Feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, anxious, or disconnected in your relationships can be deeply challenging. You may find yourself overthinking, struggling to manage your emotions, or repeating patterns that leave you feeling stuck and frustrated. Perhaps you carry unresolved pain from past experiences, or you notice that certain triggers affect how you respond to others. You might be functioning on the outside—going to work, taking care of responsibilities, showing up for others—yet inside, you feel weighed down, misunderstood, or uncertain about how to move forward. If any of this resonates with you, you are not alone, and support can make a meaningful difference.
I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the owner of Living Rivers Counseling PLLC. I provide a warm, supportive, and culturally responsive space where individuals and couples can explore their experiences, process difficult emotions, and work toward healing and growth. I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, addictions, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My goal is to meet you where you are, understand your unique story, and help you move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to guide, support, and provide tools that help you better understand yourself and your experiences. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and a person-centered approach, along with my background in 12-step recovery. This allows me to support clients in processing past trauma, identifying core beliefs, and developing healthier coping strategies. Together, we work to uncover patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress, while building practical skills that promote resilience, emotional regulation, and healthier relationships.
In our work together, you can expect a nonjudgmental and compassionate environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported. Therapy is not about “fixing” you—it is about helping you gain insight, increase self-awareness, and reconnect with your strengths. It is also about learning how to respond to life’s challenges in ways that align with your values and goals. Whether you are working through past trauma, managing anxiety, addressing addictive behaviors, or improving communication in your relationships, therapy can be a space for meaningful transformation.
As a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish), I am committed to providing services that are accessible and culturally sensitive. I understand the importance of feeling understood not only emotionally but also culturally and linguistically. I strive to create a space where clients from diverse backgrounds feel safe to express themselves fully and explore their experiences without fear of judgment.
For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-based counseling, integrating Christian principles into the therapeutic process. This can include exploring themes of forgiveness, identity, purpose, and hope through a spiritual lens. I respect each client’s beliefs and values and tailor the integration of faith based on your preferences and comfort level.
I also have experience working with individuals impacted by domestic violence, family dysfunction, and complex relational dynamics. I understand how early experiences can shape the way we see ourselves and others, and how those patterns can carry into adulthood. Therapy can help you break cycles, set healthier boundaries, and build relationships that feel safe and fulfilling.
I offer both private pay and accept a panel of insurance plans. For clients seeking reduced-cost services, I provide a sliding scale option with a commitment to consistent sessions. I am happy to help you explore the best option based on your needs and coverage.
Seeking therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it is your first time or if you have had difficult experiences in the past. You may wonder if it will help, or if you will be able to open up. These concerns are completely normal. My intention is to create a space where you can move at your own pace, feel supported in the process, and gradually build trust in the therapeutic relationship.
I work with clients on weekdays, evenings, and Saturday mornings to accommodate different schedules. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions, depending on your needs and preferences. Whether you are seeking support for a specific issue or looking for personal growth and deeper self-understanding, therapy can be a valuable investment in your well-being.
You do not have to carry everything on your own. Healing is possible, and with the right support, you can move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and aligned with who you are. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, honesty, and professional guidance as you take those steps forward.
