About me

I am a licensed mental health counselor who works with adult clients navigating life transitions, stress, identity exploration, relationship patterns, or seeking a deeper self-understanding. My approach is humanistic, strength-based, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own story- and that meaningful change comes from connection, insight, and compassion.

I believe therapy is most effective when you feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood. Many people seek therapy during times of stress, anxiety, transition, or emotional overwhelm, and my role is to meet you where you are with compassion, curiosity, and respect. I work from a strength-based, trauma-informed perspective that views people not as broken, but as doing the best they can with the tools they have. Together, we focus on building insight, emotional resilience, and meaningful change in a way that feels realistic and aligned with your values.

I am a licensed therapist with over six years of experience in healthcare and four years of experience working as a family advocate with at-risk individuals and families. I hold two master’s degrees—one in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and one in Addiction Counseling—which allows me to understand both individual emotional experiences and the broader systems that contribute to stress, burnout, and mental health concerns. Before opening my private practice, I worked in medical and behavioral health settings supporting clients with anxiety, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.

My therapeutic approach is humanistic, collaborative, and evidence-based. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and therapy works best when it is a partnership rather than a directive process. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Written Exposure Therapy. This integrative approach allows me to tailor treatment to your specific needs, goals, and strengths rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model.

I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, emotional dysregulation, and difficulty with boundaries or self-trust. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by expectations, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or disconnected from themselves. I also work with individuals navigating OCD and ADHD, helping clients better understand their symptoms, reduce shame, and develop practical coping strategies that support daily functioning. My goal is to help clients feel empowered rather than pressured to “fix” themselves.

I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and provide sex-informed, kink-aligned therapy. I offer a nonjudgmental space for clients exploring sexual identity, gender identity, relationship dynamics, and intimacy. Therapy should be a place where you do not have to filter or explain yourself in order to feel accepted. I prioritize safety, consent, and authenticity, and I work to ensure clients feel respected in all aspects of their identity.

I also have extensive experience providing addiction counseling and support for individuals impacted by substance use. I approach addiction and recovery through a compassionate, non-shaming lens that recognizes the complex relationship between coping, trauma, environment, and behavior. Recovery looks different for everyone, and I help clients clarify their goals, build motivation, and develop healthier coping strategies at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable.

Clients often describe my style as warm, grounded, and direct. I balance emotional support with practical tools, helping clients translate insight into real-life change. Sessions may include skill-building, processing emotional experiences, identifying patterns, or working on communication and boundaries. I believe therapy should be both validating and growth-oriented, offering space for reflection while also supporting forward movement.

At the core of my work is the belief that healing is not linear. Growth often includes setbacks, uncertainty, and discomfort, and that does not mean you are failing. Therapy is not about becoming someone else—it is about reconnecting with who you are, strengthening self-compassion, and creating a life that feels more aligned with what matters most to you.

If you are looking for an anxiety therapist, ADHD or OCD therapist, life-transition therapist, or an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist who values collaboration and authenticity, I would be honored to work with you. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you do not have to navigate it alone. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, resilience, and a sense of stability that supports your overall well-being.
