Hello, my name is Africa H. Josey, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals feel supported, empowered, and successful throughout their therapeutic journey. I am passionate about creating a safe and compassionate space where clients can openly process life’s challenges, build resilience, and work toward meaningful personal growth. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused approaches, helping clients develop healthier thought patterns, improve coping skills, and heal from difficult experiences and I believe therapy is a collaborative process.
I offer one-on-one client-centered sessions as well as family-centered sessions in a supportive and therapeutic environment. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered throughout the counseling process. As a compassionate and attentive listener, I encourage clients to actively participate in guiding the direction of treatment.
