About me
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who works primarily with adults navigating complex trauma and its impact on daily life including emotional overwhelm, dissociation, avoidance, and impulse control challenges using EMDR and other somatic based therapies.
I have 6 years of practice with addictions, mood disorders, and CPTSD. I do not pathologize your experience, rather help understand why you are where you are now and how we can you to where you want to be! Many of my clients feel trapped in patterns they don’t fully understand, and our work focuses on making sense of those responses without shame.
My primary approach is using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitizatioon and Reprocessing) as a means to process dysfunction, trauma, and the symptoms resulting from that. I want to help you reach your goals collaboratively and at your pace. EMDR is an evidenced based treatment that has been effective for addictive behavioors, impulse control challenges, anger, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, and so much more. I am passionate about this and other modalities to help you feel genuinely and authentically more in control of yourself!
I’m a sex-positive therapist who provides an affirming, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ individuals, BIPOC communities, and those are marginalized. I also work with active duty and retired military members. My approach is trauma-informed, grounded in empathy and respect.
