About me
Living a human life is inherently difficult, especially when trying to learn to navigate it on your own. It is so important that individuals in our community feel connected to others that genuinely care about their wellbeing. That is where I come in. I work hard to make sure that each client of mine feels supported, heard, and accepted in the counseling room. When we are critical of ourselves, our experiences, and the path that we choose to heal, then we are doubling down on our pain and further creating an environment that feels suffocating. This is why compassion, empathy, and kindness are the cornerstones to my style of therapy.
I specialize in working with individuals (14+ years) that experience an overwhelming amount of negative self-talk, low self-confidence, suffer from anxiety and depression, suicidality, victims of sexual assault, and individuals that have experienced a major life change and are struggling to cope. This could be relationships, career change, or personal loss.
I focus on building each client’s compassionate self by working to lessen shame and guilt through treating and addressing our inner self-critic. It is my goal as a therapist to help my clients build up their self-worth, feel love and compassion for themselves and others, and to regain a sense of agency and control over their tricky thoughts and emotions.
