About me
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with individuals of all ages, couples, and families to navigate life’s challenges—including divorce, co-parenting, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, relationship issues, and major transitions. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, trauma-informed care, psychodynamic insight, and solution-focused strategies to foster self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change
I’m Abbe Poznak, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. My approach is grounded in years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s complex and meaningful challenges.
Before becoming a therapist, I earned a Master’s in Education and worked as an elementary school teacher. I later transitioned into social work, where I’ve worked in a variety of settings—including as a school social worker, providing psychoeducation and guidance to parents facing the challenges of parenting, in a women’s halfway house supporting women affected by addiction and trauma, and in hospice care, supporting patients and their families through end-of-life transitions.
These diverse experiences have shaped my compassionate, trauma-informed approach and deepened my belief in each person’s capacity for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
