Zaya Gillogly, LCSW

Zaya Gillogly (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Theraplay Practitioner, and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner who works with youth of all ages, and their families demonstrating emotional regulation issues stemming from sensory needs, interpersonal trauma, adoption, foster care, and/or domestic violence.

Zaya's area of focus is work with children who are presenting with acting out behaviors, shy or withdrawn behaviors, anxiety, stress, and/or depressive symptoms. Zaya has specialized experience working with children and their families who have experienced domestic violence, interpersonal trauma, abuse, and/or neglect. Additionally, she works with families who are formed through adoption and/or foster care and are working through grief, loss, identity formation, trauma responses, and/or other adoption-related topics. Zaya is a Theraplay Supervisor-in-Training and is also working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist. Zaya was born and raised here in Chicago. Outside of the frigid winter months, she loves taking bike rides throughout the city and along the lakeshore path. As a clinician, she aims to offer as strong working alliance with caregivers and their children by combining her knowledge of child development and mental health with their knowledge of their child and their family.
