About me
As a transplant from a very different culture at a young age, I have always been fascinated with people, feelings and interactions, particularly when it doesn't quite work. Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken objects with gold, making them stronger and more beautiful; I believe this is relevant to personal and relational issues as well. There may be an uncomfortable difference around who you understand yourself to be, your diagnosis and how others perceive you. Between a child's desire to explore and their want to please their parents or teachers; between freedom and commitment. Therapy can help with this.
I guarantee a genuine presence and curiosity towards your experience, and the mindful use of what I have learned in my studies and practice. I ask that you also engage fully, so together we can gain a better understanding of the issues at play, and create a cohesive life narrative and more satisfying relationships with the self and the outside world. I am also trained in various disciplines, modes and orientations. I believe everyone is different, so I work hard to tailor my approach to each situation I work with.
