About me
Greetings, my name is Wendy, and I am a clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience. I understand and appreciate that each person is unique and requires strategies tailored for their life story.
As a therapist and counselor, I use a variety of exercises and interventions to help my clients identify their strengths which improves their ability to function in a healthy productive matter. Although, life-altering events and everyday stressors affect us all, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused therapy and techniques are useful and practical.
Additionally, my training as an interest-based mediator is congruent with the person-centered approach to living and healing indiviually as well as in the family. Therefore, the goal of my practice is to improve one's ability to make desired changes by increasing clarity, self-esteem, and boosting self-reliance. In addition, I understand how each member of a family is unique, and requires guidance to renegotiate, and maneuver life’s challenges. Likewise, it is important to understand that events in life occur with or without warning but understanding the importance of resilience improves one’s ability to thrive.
I am looking forward to working with you and creating your personal mental wellness plan.
