Tyler Taylor, LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with the mental, behavioral and emotional health concerns of individuals. In my practice, I enjoy working with issues concerning all genders, including the treatment of anxiety, depression and related issues. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree at Virginia Wesleyan College in 2015, double majoring in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies, minoring in Sociology. I also earned my Master of Social Work Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017.

I use an individualized approach in treatment to provide a balance of cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral and psychodynamic therapy modalities. I work from a strength based, person-centered, biopsychosocial spiritual perspective. I like to incorporate expressive art and creativity into sessions as appropriate. I collaborate with other professionals involved in client care that enhances effective treatment and healing. I engage in building strong therapeutic relationships with clients that allows for a natural, comforting, and safe bond. Honesty, dignity and respect are some of my most important values. I truly value the sacred experience of each person person's life and welcome clients to build a healthier narrative. My empathetic, warm and relatable demeanor allows clients to be themselves and make changes at their own pace. I have a passion for connecting with, empowering and encouraging others.
