I help stressed out parents with upset kids.

It's challenging to know if what you are doing is right for your child. It's even harder when you're unsure if your child's problems are because of a mental health limitation. You may have even wondered if it is your fault. It is my job to take out all of the guesswork and "what if's." Psychological assessment is a health check-up of your child's brain-body connection. Your child can be efficiently evaluated for several diagnoses through a series of validated tests. The result is a clear understanding of your child's behavior, a plan for treatment and support services, and support for how you can improve their quality of life at home.

In addition to assessment, I provide support groups for children ages 12-15 years old experiencing anxiety and depression. Tweens will often say more to their peers than their parents or other adults. A support group provides a non-judgmental and welcoming space to address the challenges kids face. It is also essential to be a group member because mental illnesses can often feel very isolating. A group allows teens to recognize that they are not alone, improving their connection and relationship with other people.
