Tri Tolar, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 7 years of experience specialized in treating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma . Call or email me to schedule a FREE 15 minutes phone consultation to explore how we may fit and work together.
You want to work with a therapist who "gets" you because struggle is as unique as you are, and you want to be validated and understood. You are tired of feeling overwhelmed, sad, worried, angry, lost, stuck, and tired of arguing with loved ones. You have difficulty getting what you need in relationships, and feeling unsure about what to do with your life and how to accomplish your life goals. You want to live your life to the fullest, love yourself, be happy in your relationships, and be able to overcome life challenges. I can help you with that and you can make it happen!
I can help you overcome trauma, stress and loss, have better mood, and adjust to life changes. We will work together to explore and better understand your identities, improve your confidence and communication skills, have healthy relationships, solve problems, clarify your life goals, and take concrete steps to get what you want in life and relationships.
My therapy approach is culturally-sensitive. I respect, validate, and accept your culture, choices, and life experiences as a unique individual. I use person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and system theory as tools to help accomplish your therapy goals. I am trained in and practicing EMDR, which is an effective and powerful tool to help clients moving past traumas as well as modifying their maladaptive core beliefs.
Seeking help from outside of your family and friend circles can be uncomfortable, but I encourage you to call or email me. I offer you a safe space to talk about who you are, your life, values, challenges, and hopes. I will listen to you with respect, acceptance and compassion, and walk with you on your journey to healing, wellness and happiness.
