Hi! My name is Dr. Tracy Zaparanick, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my MSSW from the University of Louisville and later earned my PhD in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, & grief. I work with adults, 18+ who reside in either Kentucky or Tennessee. For the past 8 years I worked with US military and their families. I would be honored to meet and work with you!
Tracy has 27 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) working in a variety of environments – telehealth, military, employee assistance program (EAP), outpatient, inpatient, acute care, partial hospitalization, crisis/disaster, and veterinary settings. She earned her Certified Compassion Fatigue Specialist (CCFS) after receiving a grant to explore compassion fatigue in non-human animal healthcare locations. Shortly thereafter she enrolled into a PhD program in Social Work, completing the program in 2008.
Collaboration, compassion, transparency, trust, and encouragement are her therapy practice guideposts. Drawing from her experience in teaching adults in higher education and public speaking, Dr. Zaparanick works to engage clients in mastering knowledge of the mind and body connection and developing evidence-based skills that harnesses that knowledge in practical, and intentional day-to-day practices.
