Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am an experienced Family Therapist who has advanced experience and training in trauma, crisis, and personality disorders.
Your needs and goals will define the experience that you have here. I am attuned to working with you and your family to identify the areas of life in which you are struggling or hurting, and then collaboratively building a treatment plan together so that your concerns are addressed in the most clinically appropriate way. For some patients this may be EMDR, a specialized treatment geared towards helping with 'stuck points' in trauma – both recent and remote – so that you can move through the emotions and towards a more whole version of yourself.
I have experience with clients from just a few years old through the lifespan and into the elder years. During my time as a Family Therapist I have seen family done in so many different ways that it is inspiring to know that we are capable of making meaningful connections irrespective of the scripts we grew up learning. The exposure and learning I have been able to gain through working with such diverse populations has been more valuable than anything gained from a textbook. If you are hurting – or not feeling at all – then you can feel shut out or removed from the rest of your world as you watch them enjoy those connections. I can help you find your way back to a point where you can once again engage with life. Recover yourself and honor your emotions while learning to manage your responses to those emotions.
I practice from a blended methods standpoint meaning that while I have some very specific trainings and certifications, I understand that every person is an individual and should not be treated as just another person to see. To really SEE people I believe that it is my responsibility to be well-versed in a number of methods, approaches, and interventions so that we have as large a menu of options to work from as possible. I want you to have options and I want you back in control of your life.
Whether you have a personality disorder or addiction, or you live with someone who does, I will work alongside you to regain balance and control in your world. None of us can redo the decisions we have made prior to the this moment, but you do with this moment and the next has the ability to be transformative. If you or a family member are struggling with the pain of a traumatic event, please don't continue to struggle alone. The feelings that you are having aren't abnormal, the event itself was abnormal but we can work together to reduce the impact that trauma has on your life. There is just no need to do this alone any longer.
