I am Tia a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the Board of Social Work in Virginia. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Norfolk State University .I have been practicing outpatient therapy for the last 3 years and have over 8 years’ experience in the mental health field. I specialize in and have experience with treating depressive disorders, life changes, anxiety disorders, and those who suffer from loss/grief. I enjoy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy a therapeutic approach in which negative patterns of thought about self and the world are challenged to alter unwanted behavior patterns.I also enjoy Solution –Focused Therapy a therapeutic approach that builds on the individuals strengths and helps the individual reach their future goals. I support those that believe they can achieve their highest potential and greatest desires with the right help.
