I have experience working in the behavioral and mental health field, including schools, residential and community services for children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and families. I incorporate techniques from various evidenced-based practices including but not limited to: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), existential therapy, person-centered therapy, solutions-focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT), and more. I offer services for those experiencing change and loss, depression, mood regulation, anxiety and stress, vocational issues, marital concerns, parenting concerns, adjustment concerns, trauma (past or current), ADHD, childhood behavioral issues, and transitions in life.
Counseling is designed to help you gain greater insight into your life and help you build awareness, compassion, understanding, respect, empathy, and acceptance toward yourself and others. Working together, we will identify the issues and/or triggers you may be experiencing and how to overcome, work through, and move forward from those stumbling blocks. With a listening ear, I will be there to support and encourage you as necessary. Treatment is based on goals that we identify collaboratively, and the therapy process is always guided directly by you. If you feel it’s relevant, then it will be a priority during our time together. My overall goal is to support you in overcoming challenges and creating a life that you value and desire.
