About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker, and I specialize in working with Anxiety and Trauma. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples.
I started working as a therapist in 2018, and I started my private practice a year later. Since I have been practicing I have worked with disorders such as GAD, OCD, Acute stress, PSTD, complex trauma, Bipolar I and II, Depression, relationship issues/stress, adjustment disorder, and life transitions.
As a social worker, I worked for 10 years in a rehab facility treating addiction and co-occurring disorders. I have worked in inpatient, transitional living, and in the IOP program. Currently, I support those who have been in treatment and are in recovery. I use a trauma perspective to help people understand their addictions.
I would describe myself as warm and compassionate. I like to provide a space where people can feel supported and safe. I don't believe in pathologizing and see the individual as a person first.
I am fascinated with trauma and see it as something that affects all of us. Trauma can be helpful in that it allows us to proceed with caution, but for many people, it can be debilitation and has a profound effect on their functioning.
I dedicate my work to helping people understand, cope with, and resolve their traumas.
