About me
I work with individuals, couples, and families with an eye toward helping you to increase your creativity and flexibility in solving problems and living a life that's meaningful to you, that you want to live. I’m a psychologist licensed in Washington and Alaska and have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Georgia State University. My undergraduate training is Alaska Native Languages from University of Alaska Fairbanks. I value and respect people in a culturally diverse landscape. As a retired associate professor of psychology, I've taught, supervised, published and presented in areas of depression and seasonal affective disorder, anxiety management, creativity, mindfulness and cognition, and Alaska Native psychology. My orientation is cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychoanalytic, and systemic.
I live in Bellingham, Washington, keep a small practice and am available to meet via telehealth or in person. I work independently of insurance panels and, as such, am not in network with any insurance company with the exception of Medicare. If you have Medicare, let me know; otherwise, I do support my clients in submitting their own insurance claims.
