STUART CHALIN, LMSW
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am a highly skilled and empathic listener who has been helping adults with a wide variety of situations for over 20 years.
During an interview for the clinic I have been working at for 10 years I was asked "what kind of clients do you enjoy working with the most?" I know they were asking about specific diagnoses or other demographics but my answer was "I really like working with people who show up." I didn't just mean people who come to sessions, I meant people who are willing to be an active participant in their therapy. There are so many factors that contribute to your current situation. I want to explore as many of those factors as possible with you to help you understand yourself better so you can make better choices of how to proceed in your life.
I have been working as a therapist for over 20 years. I also have a master's degree in Philosophy from Boston College where I focused on Existential Philosophy and Philosophy of Psychology and both of these areas inform my practice. I've had many varied work experiences before becoming a therapist. I have worked with hundreds of different people, and I am able to quickly establish a connection that helps us get to a deeper understanding of core issues. Now, with telehealth, that is more convenient than ever.
You are unique! I want to hear YOUR story, YOUR experiences, YOUR situation. I want to understand your goals and help you meet them. I want you to have a better understanding of yourself and others to help make your life more fulfilling and meaningful.
