Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
Trauma therapy for adult survivors of childhood abuse and neglect
Hi and welcome! My approach is direct, authentic, and deeply respectful. If after reading this profile, you are feeling ready, I'll be happy to speak with you for a free 15 minute initial consultation.
My role as a therapist is to provide support, guidance, and undivided attention while my clients take their time building trust in the healing process. A good therapeutic fit requires skill, compassion, and genuine interest on the part of the therapist.
It is unfortunately common to have therapy experiences with practitioners who
– pressure their clients
– are distracted and disconnected
– judge and criticize their clients' lifestyles
– are emotionally stoic to the point of invalidating their clients
– are afraid to confront their clients in a healthy manner
– improperly self disclose, creating an unhealthy role reversal
If you have experienced therapy, and have felt rejected, used, or otherwise let down, I am truly sorry.
This is not how therapy should be and you're worth a great healing experience with an emotionally attuned therapist who respects you and is happy to work with you.
