About me
I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania with extensive experience working with addiction and mental health disorders in a variety of inpatient as well as outpatient settings. This has exposed me to every aspect of the mental health and substance abuse field. I have treated children through seniors and understand that each client presents differently and should be treated as such. I have learned that the therapeutic alliance is a critical component for a successful therapy experience.
My style of therapy focuses on meeting the client where they are and tailoring the therapeutic approach to meet their needs with compassion and understanding. I tend to use mindfulness techniques in combination with CBT while taking a holistic therapy approach. The focus of the initial therapy session is why the client is seeking therapy at this time. It is important to answer any questions and discuss any expectations the client may have during the initial interaction. In my experience, this helps to begin building a mutual trust and respectful therapeutic relationship.
