About me

I am an experienced trauma therapist who is dedicated to helping children, adolescents, teenagers, couples, and adults cope with anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

I am a caring, compassionate, and empathetic therapist with over five decades of life experience. I am experienced in helping children, adolescents, couples, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, grief, depression, maladaptive behaviors, and PTSD. I approach my clients from a trauma-informed view. Neuroscience has shown trauma harms the brain with lifelong effects.
I believe in creating a safe, respectful, and empathetic environment for my clients to create a better version of themselves that leads to newfound peace and a sense of connectedness. I believe the client is the authority in their life and is in control of the change they are seeking. When helping clients work through their issues, I take a holistic approach by exploring lifestyle, habits, values, beliefs, motivations, physical habits, attachment styles, and personal history.
I utilize an evidence-based, integrative approach to therapy. This approach includes Cognitive-Behavioral, Person-Centered, and Developmental therapy. Each client is an individual and deserves a treatment plan to address their specific needs. I believe in advocating for my clients and teaching them to advocate for themselves.
I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Board Certified Counselor. I also received a certificate from the Medical University of South Carolina as a Cognitive Processing Therapist. I am versed in both Christianity and Islam and other world religions which I use in the healing process at the request of my clients.
I consider it a great honor and privilege to walk alongside my clients who undertake the heroic journey of therapy. I provide services in person and via telehealth. Your healing process is a phone call away. Let's begin.
