About me
I have spent most of my career assisting clients with medical issues and those that have experienced physical and/or symbolic grief/trauma. Within those settings, I have had the opportunity to work in specialized areas: dialysis, hospice, organ donation and donor recipient, refugees, homelessness, perinatal death, homicides, natural disasters, and ambiguous grief.
Due to the huge emotional strain that these issues entail many clients that I have build relationships with have lost hope, have anxiety and depression. My work with my clients is to find ways to restore hope and balance back into their lives. The ways that I assist my clients is believing in your powers and assisting you to restore them with Solution Based Theory, meditation, and mindfulness activities. You will often find objects to play with during sessions or have expressive art to create if that helps express your emotions, because I believe that sometimes words are not enough, especially for young children.
