About me
I am an experienced licensed mental health therapist, dedicated to helping couples, families, and individuals, build stronger bonds.
I am a passionate licensed professional counselor and have worked in private practice and agency settings for more than 20 years. I provide therapeutic support to couples, families, individual adults and children/adolescents. I realize reaching out for help is often the hardest step towards achieving your life goals, and challenging situations in our lives can be overwhelming, especially without support. My goal is to provide a safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings so that together we can help you discover solutions to current problems. I utilize techniques from several theoretical perspectives, including family of origin, emotionally focused couples therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, and trauma informed, behavioral modification. My work is solution focused, and I can help you uncover underlying causes and gain better awareness and insight for long-term change.
With compassion and understanding in my work with couples or individuals the focus is to assist you in identifying your patterns of interaction and underlying feelings/thoughts that drive those behaviors. We then move on to constructively learn how to effectively express those feelings to improve your interpersonal relationships.
