I am committed to accompanying my clients through current challenges. Over the course of treatment, you may experience successes and failures. However, the key is to not give up during that time. I am committed to providing encouragement and accountability during your counseling experience.
One of my missions in life is to serve others with compassion, sincerity, and integrity. For 14 years, I have been blessed to serve as a mental health provider to individuals in the York County Community. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of South Carolina and North Carolina. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS), which allows me to supervise Licensed Professional Associates (LPCAs) seeking licensure in the State of South Carolina. Since 2007, I have worked with a range of individuals, from children/adolescents to older adults in an inpatient, outpatient, and school setting. My clinical experience includes working with individuals struggling with poor anger management, loss/grief, mood disorders, PTSD, trauma, suicidal ideations/attempts, and histories of physical/sexual abuse. In order to better service the needs of my clients, I have received specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidenced based therapy to address trauma and PTSD. In addition, I am certified in Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), which focuses on developing interventions to help families manage oppositional and aggressive behavior in the home. My educational background includes a Master of Education Degree with a concentration in Community Counseling from Winthrop University.
