About me
I am a solution-focused behavioral health therapist. I believe that positive change comes from actively listening to my clients and working "with" them to identify any negatively distorted thoughts and/or beliefs. I offer and support personalized strategies and techniques that support positive change and improved overall well-being.
I'm Shelley Aeschliman, and I'm here to support you on your road to positive change. It begins with actively listening and identifying core challenges. This crucial information helps form our strategy, treatment plan, and the creation of attainable goals. I encourage my clients to try a variety of strategies and coping skills; while reminding them that I have a "whole toolbox" of techniques and there is no "one-size-fits-all" when it comes to therapy and positive change.
I am a certified Solution Focused Brief Therapist (SFBT). I believe that, for the most part, clients are seeking to find "resolution." This may include: relationship challenges, communication difficulties, past trauma triggers, or self-confidence/self-esteem issues. Successful "resolution" is highly motivating and can have an empowering overall effect on your life. Solution Focused Brief Therapy has been amazingly positive effective for many of my clients!
My goal for each session is to give my clients a safe place where they will feel, empathy, validation, and NO judgment, What's happening in your life "today" is often a good place to start each appointment.
