About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist in the District of Columbia. I have experience working with Child and Family Services, as social work for over 25 years and Department of Behavioral Health as a Mental Health Clinician. I have experience with working with substance abuse, domestic violence, stress, anxiety, depression, anger management, parenting issues , LGBT issues and adjusting to life transitions.
My therapy approaches are treating individuals with respect, authenticity and compassion. My treatment modalities are a combination of cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, motivational therapy, psychodynamic, solution focus and rational-emotive therapy. Each individual needs are their own. Therapy is not a cookie cutter and individuals will receive treatment as it relates to their own specific needs.
Therapy is challenging, difficult at time and rewarding . Therapy is moving forward to a better understanding of you and and the world around you. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
