With over 35 years providing mental health services, I'm well versed in a wide variety of therapy approaches and interventions, but more importantly I emphasize listening to each client carefully to find out exactly what they are expecting from their therapy, what goals they have, and what I can offer that might best fit them personally. I want you to be happy with your therapy, which means having ongoing conversation about your satisfaction with our therapeutic relationship, your view of your progress, and how well you feel I'm meeting your needs. I use a formal system called "feedback-informed treatment" to facilitate this conversation and keep us on track. I help adults overcome anxiety, panic, stress, and trauma, and would love to have a conversation to see if I'd be a good fit for you.

I offer clients a personalized experience where we will discuss what is bothering you, identify your current strengths and skills, help you learn new ways to help yourself, and renew your sense of being in control of your behaviors and emotions. I'm an eclectic therapist, which simply put means I draw from a wide range of therapy traditions and techniques because I'm interested in what works, not allegiance to one view or approach. I'm flexible, approachable, gently confrontive when I think it may be helpful, and feel there's room for a touch of humor in the therapy process even as we're working on serious issues. You'll find me to be down to earth and easy-going. I have devoted my life to helping others improve their well-being and have never stopped being amazed at how resilient and capable people are when offered the right support, encouragement, and tools to thrive. I focus my practice primarily on helping people overcome anxiety including panic attacks, manage stress more effectively, and move past the effects of traumatizing experiences.
