About me
I am an experienced psychotherapist and clinical social worker, dedicated to helping my clients heal.
I work with people from all walks of life and specialize in treating anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, career/identity issues, and adjustment difficulties related to life transitions and illness. Some of my therapeutic goals include helping clients manage symptoms of distress with healthier coping, improving relationships (with self and others), and exploring the ways in which current problems may be linked to unresolved issues from the past.
I utilize psychodynamic talk therapy and evidence-based treatments such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and EMDR. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach. We are all individuals with distinct needs, cultures, beliefs, and experiences. We face our challenges in unique ways and have different strengths and coping abilities, which I consider when tailoring treatment.
I understand starting therapy can feel daunting. It takes strength and courage to be vulnerable, face the unknown, and explore our innermost thoughts and feelings. Sometimes we feel stuck and don't know how to take action. For this reason, I prioritize building trust with my clients by creating a safe, empathic, and non-judgmental environment for healing to take place. I look forward to working with you.
