About me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California who is experienced in working with adolescents, young adults, and individuals with trauma histories. As a biracial Japanese American, I am also experienced in working with Asian American clients and can offer a unique clinical perspective regarding cultural issues relating to Asian American cultures.
As a clinical psychologist, I have trained and worked in a variety of settings including community mental health agencies, pre-schools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and supported housing communities. I feel that my experiences working with a wide range of people and problems helps me approach clients' issues with an open mind and heart. My beliefs about people being the experts on their own lived experiences guides a lot of my work. As your therapist, I will work collaboratively with you and/or your family to explore the various ways problems have influenced your life, and together we will identify your strengths and resources needed to achieve your goals and thrive.
