About me

I am a licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC) committed to navigating the challenges of substance use with clients and providing mental health counseling under supervision as a graduate intern through Angelo State University's Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Bridge program.

Greetings! I am excited to connect with you and extend my services as a mental health professional and educator in psychology. As a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas, I am here to serve individuals who are grappling with substance use and addiction difficulties. I aim to understand your unique journey and help you overcome your obstacles. I am eager to join you toward a more fulfilling and healthy life. I firmly believe that everyone, including you, has the potential to heal and grow, and I am committed to supporting you.

A bit about me…I am an experienced educator with diverse academic and practical skills in psychological science, mental health, and substance use treatment. I am pursuing a graduate certificate from Angelo State University through their Mental Health and Wellness LPC Bridge Program to seek licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and offer additional mental health services as a Graduate Intern under supervision at Mosaic Wellness, LLC in Abilene, TX.

I have two decades of diverse experience in academia, mental health, and substance use treatment. I'm completing Angelo State University's LPC Bridge Program to become an LPC in Texas. As a Graduate Intern at Mosaic Wellness, LLC, I currently offer mental health services under supervision.

I work closely with each client to understand their unique circumstances and develop personalized plans that align with their goals. A person-centered approach is important, allowing clients to explore and develop their strengths to benefit them in their current and future situations and improve functioning and overall well-being. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and implement this approach when appropriate, among other therapeutic approaches based on client needs. Treatment orientations implemented include, but are not limited to:

Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT)
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
Harm reduction
Internal Family Systems
Person-centered/Rogerian
Motivational interviewing

I offer therapy sessions in person and virtually during the week. Weekend sessions are available on a limited basis.
