Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am a Psychotherapist with 17+ years of experience who specializes in helping couples and women who have challenges with stress, relationships, and being LGBTQIA+.
As a queer Black woman, I know how stress, relationships, or being LGBTQIA+ can have you feeling overwhelmed, unappreciated, unloved, and unable to live in your truth. The pressure of being everything for everybody while ignoring your own needs and wants is becoming too much. The kids, work, your relationship, just life has caused you to put yourself on the back burner. You are making decisions to please others, while you are unhappy and the stress of being true to yourself has become a burden. You're tired of feeling alone and/or being closeted out of fear. You’re finally ready to make yourself a priority and live in your truth.
I was you. Women come to me feeling just like you. I focus on helping you make yourself a priority while learning self-love and acceptance. I am a real, honest, down-to-earth, licensed, inclusive therapist who isn't afraid to challenge you. In sessions with me, you will laugh, you will cry, and you will become more assertive and more confident than you’ve ever been. Together, we rebuild a life of joy, peace, and balance. I help you reduce stress, improve relationships, and become comfortable and confident in who you are. My goal is to help you see that you are important and taking care of your mental and emotional health is not a selfish act. You deserve to be happy.
Having experienced divorce, parenting, and making a conscious effort every day to make myself a priority, I know your struggle. It’s okay for the strong to feel weak sometimes. Making yourself a priority is possible. Freedom to be exactly who you are is possible. Don't keep doing it alone. I'm here to create a safe, nonjudgmental space to process your thoughts and feelings, so you can identify solutions and make immediate changes to create a life that works for you. Reach out today and let's get started!
