About me
Families come to us when they find themselves having trouble connecting and communicating. Oftentimes each individual in the family system feels unheard and conflict is persistent and cyclic, leading to an overall experience of stress that impacts the family members both at home and in other areas of their lives. Sean uses systems theory to understand the dynamics of each individual family that we work with and he works with each person within the family to understand their needs. Change takes time and a commitment to altering the functioning of a family as a whole, and Sean works to ease the stress that comes with difficult transitions by teaching families physiological calming skills and providing families with new communication techniques.
As a Clinical Social Work Associate I have experience working with Children and Teens in different settings. My first experience in Social Work was as a Victim Advocate at the Children’s Justice Center, where felonies against Children and Teens are prosecuted in Vancouver, Washington. While at the Children’s Justice Center I helped guide Children, Teens, and their families through the complicated and stressful court process during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Most recently I worked at Libertas College Preparatory Charter School, located in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. While at Libertas I was a school Social Worker providing one on one therapy for Children and Teens struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma. Working with Pre-teens and Adolescents is my passion.
