About me
Welcome, and please have a look around! I work with individuals and couples who need help processing interpersonal and relational issues, adjusting to new life phases, recovering from trauma, and managing various feeling states. I will work with you to improve awareness of internal emotional and cognitive dynamics that are causing distress by fostering your sensitivities, partnering feelings, and developing sustainable empathy. I provide an affirmative and queer-centered space for my LGBTQ+ community to tend to these issues.
The most valuable question that informs my work is why do we talk about feelings in therapy? I carry this question with me as it offers unique insight into each individual's way of caring for & valuing themselves. As a psychodynamic therapist, I’m always curious about your history as a pathway to developing more intimacy with your past & present experiences. I also integrate an affirmative perspective for anyone on the LGBTQ spectrum with additional sensitivity to challenges experienced in the developmental years from childhood to early adulthood.
If you have reached this segment, we could be a good fit! I realize reaching out to a therapist can feel intimidating which is why I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to hear how I work, ask any questions you may have, and determine if we would like to move forward. Thanks for checking things out, & I look forward to supporting you along the way!
