About me

I am an experienced mental health counselor who is dedicated to bringing equality and effective treatment options to all adults in need in our community regardless of functional or intellectual levels. I believe with "the right support, anything is possible" so let me be the support you need.

At Pillars of Change LLC, we strive to be the pillars of support needed by our clients and our community in order to elicit change for the betterment of us all. Through reflective listening, compassion, and empowerment, Pillars of Change LLC strives to provide a supportive environment that fosters personal healing, acceptance, growth, and inclusion for each client through a holistic individualized approach. It is our core belief that, "with the right support, anything is possible!"

As the owner, Sarah Tremblay has over 20 years of professional experience while holding dual Masters degrees and specialty certifications as follows:
Masters of Science in Clinical Counseling & Abnormal Psychology
Masters of Arts in Applied Behavioral Analysis
Certification in Applied Behavioral Analysis
Certification in Guardianship and Conservatorship
Certification in Critical Incident Response

Sarah personally and professionally understands the importance of compassion, acceptance, advocacy, and inclusion for all. Personally, Sarah is the single parent of 2 teenage children; one with special needs. Sarah was raised in a small town where taking care of others and one another was an instilled way of life. Sarah grew up volunteering at Rainier State School, a residential facility for the developmentally and intellectually disabled. Professionally, Sarah brings 20+ years of experience in counseling and behavioral health services including voluntary and involuntary treatment processes, medical and psychiatric case management, and crisis stabilization work for adult persons in a variety of marginalized populations. Sarah brings 15 years experience in care coordination and advocacy for adults who are: developmentally or intellectually disabled, geriatric, medically fragile, and/or whom were experiencing psychological or behavioral dysregulation. For the past five years, Sarah served as the Supervisor of the Complex Case Management Team managing complex patient needs at seven local hospitals before venturing into private practice and opening Pillars of Change LLC.

Additionally, Sarah is passionate about equality and proudly serves as a board member for Pierce County Coalition for Developmental Disabilities. Sarah believes in giving the "unheard" a "voice" as she has learned to see the potential and good in everyone as everyone has something to offer the world!
